Belgian loafers in dark brown leather

Made from dark brown calfskin, with an embossed pebble-grain texture, these shoes stand out through a discreet elegance, equally suited to the office or a weekend outing. Sole and heel are made from bend leather, covered with a rubber sheet for added grip. The strap across the vamp remains the sole decorative element, accentuated by the grained texture of the leather. The welt stitch count is 7-8 stitches per inch.

Goodyear Welt construction allows for resoling and provides exceptional comfort, thanks to the layer of cork between the sole and the insole, which takes the shape of the foot. The rounded last, typical of any relaxed slip-on, recalls the tradition of shoemaking craft. Dark brown, with a discreet sheen, free of colour variation or decorative details. Sizes available from 36 to 47, including half sizes, in three width fittings.

The interior is lined with dyed natural leather, with a full-length insole. A soft insert sits beneath the insole, in the heel area, for added comfort.

These penny loafers can be worn in autumn and spring with dark green corduroy trousers and a fine wool jumper. In summer, they can be worn without socks, where the setting allows, alongside a linen shirt and fresco wool trousers.

For long-lasting wear, our recommendation is wiping the shoes after each wear with a microfibre cloth or a horsehair brush. Periodically, a moisturising cream, a pigmented cream, and a wax, applied in this order, are essential to maintaining the leather for years. Store in a box or fabric bags, with cedarwood shoe trees, away from light and heat sources.
